The Denver Broncos are expected to sign free agent wide receiver Andre Johnson this offseason.
The team has made an offer to Johnson’s agent and he could sign with Denver as early as Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Johnson is one of several big-name free agents the Broncos could sign this offseason, including free agents Terrance West and Deion Branch.
The Broncos would need to trade Johnson, but he’s likely to be part of any deal.
Johnson’s agent, Steve Lavin, did not immediately return a call for comment on Thursday.
The Denver Post reported that Johnson’s deal includes a $3.3 million signing bonus and a $1.5 million signing option for 2018.
Johnson was a second-round pick by the Texans in 2014.
